Misa Polo Club (Born in 1888)

On your way from the Guwahati Airport, 3 hrs out from Guwahati through a scenic drive, is the Misa Polo Club with 18 hole Golf course,Driving range, Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Basketball, Croquet, Table tennis,Antique Billiard Table, Darts etc. It is located in the picturesque Kellyden Tea Estate, 40 kms from Nagaon and 35 kms from Tezpur.

Baligaon Green Village – Mising Homestay

The Baligaon Mishing Village is Assam’s first certified Green Village. Guided
and inspired by the Mishing village head-Kamison Mili, a man of the soil, the
village today is a remarkable example of community conservation.

Pabhoi Greens ~ At play in the greens

The farm is surrounded by lush tea gardens which are more than 100 years old and is a major attraction of eco tourism. This place shelters the first ever organic co-operative and farm stay in the region.

● 1 hr 10 mins drive to Pabhoi Greens.

● Drive back to Wild Mahseer in the evening.

The Garo Village lies in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayan Range. Rich in natural resources, the village people also have a keen knowledge on medicinal plants. They are experts in handicrafts, weaving, and community fishing andcultivating economically important plants.

● Drive to Garo Village at 10:00 am after breakfast.(30 mins drive from Wild
Mahseer)
● Experience: Garo homestay, Weaving, Organic dying, Handloom and
Handicrafts
● Experience Ethnic Garo cuisines made in the traditional way at the Garo
Homestay.
● Spend the night at the Garo Homestay followed by early morning breakfast
the next day and walk to the Nyishi Village. (10 mins walk from the Garo
village)

Nyishi Village ~ Walk amidst the Nyishi traditions

Nyishi Village: The Nyishi tribe ‘ The Guardians of the Hornbills’ have played a crucial part in the conservation of these birds. The Nyishi village in Sonitpur district lies in the foothills of Eastern Himalayan Range bordered with a lustrous green hill; the Nyishi village is a real feast for nature lovers.

Highlights :
● Live stories from the Community and village head Menong at the Nyishi homestay.
● Guided tour of the village, Nyishi Homestay followed by stories of handicrafts and headgears , agroforestry and ethnobotany.
● Hike through the forest and meet the oldest couple who resides in the forest of the Nyishi community on a tree house and listen to their heartwarming survival stories.
● Lunch at the Nyishi homestay.
● Drive back to Wild Mahseer at 5:00 pm.

Bodo Village ~ Walk amidst the Nyishi traditions

Spread across Northeastern India, the Bodo is the largest ethnolinguistic group in Assam. The Bodos were also some of the first people to rear silkworms and produce silk material and were considered to be advanced in rice cultivation in Assam. Learn the simple ways of living at Bodo
Homestay surrounded by nature and the crystal clear river flowing behind the mustard field! Engage in Ethnic Meals Cooking Class, Village Walk, organize a picnic by the river, Traditional Boating or Fishing.
