Guwahati – Hajo

After breakfast, drive to Hajo, 25 kms from the heart of Guwahati . Hajo and its surrounding areas are a testament of the incredible and unique archeological sites in the Eastern Himalayan regions, established with the convergence of pilgrimages dating back to the 10th century. Drive back to Guwahati in the evening and explore the diverse ethnic merchandise and cuisines

Guwahati to Peacock Island

After breakfast, take a ferry ride to the Peacock Island(also known as Umananda Island) , which is the smallest inhabitat river island in the middle of the mighty Brahmaputra. This island is also famous for the Umananda temple and the scenic views of the expanse of the river Brahmaputra. Return to Guwahati in the evening.

Misa Polo Club (Born in 1888)

The Misa Polo Club is a colonial-era club established during the British Assam period that features an 20-hole golf course. It is situated in the midst of tea bushes of Kellyden Tea Estate, approximately 60 kilometers away from Wild Mahseer.

Highlights: Morning
● Depart at 8:00 am and take a 3-hour drive to Misa Polo Club enroute to Wild Mahseer.
● Stop for a comfort break, refreshments and a buggy ride around the Golf course with
endemic trees and bamboo forests.
● Proceed to Wild Mahseer and check-in. (1hr.30 mins drive)

Chai ki Baat~High on Tea

Kaziranga National Park – Guwahati

Highlights: Morning – Evening
● Depart early in the morning at 7:30 am with a packed breakfast in hand.
● Embark on a thrilling jeep safari at the Western Range between 9:00 am and 11:00 am.
● Drive to the Guwahati via Misa Polo Club for lunch – 1 hr driving time from Western range.
● After lunch, drive to Guwahati – 3hrs 30 mins

Guwahati to Shillong

Start early from Guwahati and head towards Shillong( also known as the Scotland
of the East), which is about 100 km away. (3 hrs drive) Enroute, rejuvenate yourself by the banks of the man-made Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani.

Highlights:
● Check-in to your hotel, Heritage Club – Tripura Castle, built on the summer
residence of the Kings of the Manikya dynasty. ( 3 hrs drive )
● Visit the Elephant Falls, Cathedrals, Museums, Shillong peak and the iconic
Police bazar.

Shillong – Dawki – Mawlynnong– Riwai – Shillong

Embark on a full-day tour from Shillong to –
● Dawki- Dawki, take a boat ride on the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River, and waveout to your neighbours in Bangladesh.
● Mawlynnong- Reputed to be the cleanest village in Asia. Take a guided tour of the village.
● Riwai – Walk on the impressive living root bridge. It’s a one-of-a-kind sustainable architecture example, where the bridge is entirely constructed using living tree roots that have been nurtured by the local Khasi tribe for generations.

Highlights:
● Start by 7:30-8:00 am. The journey takes approximately 3 hours.
● Proceed to Mawlynnong, which is about 30 km away (1 hr) from Dawki,
● Stop at Riwai, which is only 10 km away(20-30 mins) from Mawlynnong
● Drive back to Shillong, which takes 2-3 hours depending on traffic and road conditions.
● Night stay at Tripura Castle, Shillong.

Shillong – Cherrapunjee- Guwahati

Hidden deep in the lush, green forests of the wettest place in India: Cherrapunjee.Visit the Arwah Cave, a fascinating accessible cave system where you can witness limestone formations and fossils. It is worth noting that the discovery of the cave’s unique conditions led global scientists to recognize the “Meghalayan Age”, depicting Meghalaya’s geological formation.

● Start your day with breakfast, check out of your hotel in Shillong, and drive to
Cherrapunjee – 2 hrs drive
● In Cherrapunjee a local guide will accompany you and in between the sightseeing
have lunch in a local restaurant.
● Drive back to Guwahati – approximately 5 hrs drive.
● Night stay at Guwahati
